With more than 38 years of legal experience—including over three decades practicing in Florida—Attorney Phillip Brutus has built a distinguished career grounded in integrity, service, and results. A trusted immigration and personal injury lawyer in South Florida and surrounding areas, he serves clients across Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties with a steadfast commitment to justice.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts–Boston (B.S., 1982) and Suffolk University School of Law (J.D., 1985), Attorney Brutus began his legal career as a Trial Attorney with the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. He entered private practice in 1989 and has since represented thousands of clients in civil, criminal, and immigration matters in both state and federal courts.
His experience includes appearances before the U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and courts throughout Florida. His practice spans a wide range of matters, including naturalization, asylum, deportation defense, personal injury claims, and select family law issues.
